| Always one of the most popular and colorful displays at the
Fair, the Junior Vegetable department hosts about 800 youth and
adult exhibitors each year. This department has exhibit
categories for 61 different kinds of vegetables, 21 different
types of fruit, decorated pumpkins and posters.
The judging criteria for vegetables and fruit include
uniformity of size, shape and color and trueness to type.
Decorated pumpkins, veggie creatures, posters and wreaths are
judged for creativity, execution, appropriateness to age and
set-up participation, including effective use of a given
